LE CIRQUE DANSANT

During the ‘80s, in Paris, it was very fashionable to take the aperitif at Le Cirque Dansant, a place located on the Rive Gauche, near St. Germain, usually frequented by the Parisian jet set and now closed since a long time. In the historical archives of IVV it appears that, on design of their bar manager, in ‘81 Le Cirque Dansant commissioned the realization of two glasses, one designed to serve Champagne and different types of cocktails and one to serve especially the Martini Cocktail. Both are characterized by the particular shape of the mouth: the first reopened, which allows you to enhance the aromas of the drink, while the second, whistle-shaped cut, which gives the entire glass an elegant and slender silhouette. Both are made entirely by hand, a feature that makes them truly out of the ordinary objects. It’s in honor of that place that IVV is presents them today, telling the real story that determined its birth.
